An ActivArmor cast is a custom waterproof alternative to traditional casting methods for broken arms or legs. These casts are a Class 1 medical device approved in Canada and are breathable, waterproof, and much more hygienic than the traditional casting methods. The casts will be locked on for the fracture healing phase, then converted to a 'splint mode' which is easily removable with a bungie tie for the recovery and physiotherapy phase. To get one, all you need to do is have a 15-30 second scan of your injured limb, and then in 2-4 business days come back to get fitted. There is a cost to the cast, but it is covered under most private insurance plans including Workers Compensation.
